Born on August 11th, 1973, Hip Hop has grown to be a global cultural practice and form of expression. Making it’s way from the streets to the University, this highly innovative set of art forms has served as a place of respite, an avenue for storytelling, a form of counter-media, and a vehicle for a good vibe. This year, TruArtSpeaks wants to highlight the impact of Hip Hop culture in our community and abroad while visioning what the next 50 years may look like.
